The following items we do not collect in curb side garbage collection as they are harmful to the environment and dangerous for our employees that pick up your garbage each week.
The use of bungee cords, straps, rope or string to tie lids onto cans is prohibited on the day of collection.
Dust of any kind must be double-bagged, i.e.: vacuum bags, sawdust, etc.
Metals, appliances, lawn chairs (metal parts only), lawn mowers, etc. are all recyclable and can be taken to theNorth Shore Transfer Station free of charge.
Hazardous Waste: Drywall/gypsum, paints, paint thinners, solvents, fertilizer, pesticides, gasoline, motor oils, and oil filters, ballasts containing PCB¡Çs, car batteries, hypodermic needles.
